Plugs & Jacks
          Audio and video components implement a wide array of terminating plugs and jacks. Here is a list of the most common types of AV cable termination you will encounter. Seek out examples and become familiar with each. Note that many of the cables use the same type of connector.  They differ in the type and the impedance of cable they are paired with.

Digital 
USB/ Universal Serial Bus
    USB is a multipurpose computer & cell phone interconnect that now interfaces with many AV products.
 It is a 'universal' device of many versions, types, and sizes.  Version 3.0 is shown in the illustration.

Final Note
          Audio and video systems should be qualified and designed for ease of use.  Choose interconnect options that flow more easily for the end user.  The ease of use qualifier may also require the addition of a macro programmed remote control.
